The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-8255 is a 24-hour, toll-free, confidential suicide prevention hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. By dialing 1-800-273-8255 a caller is routed to the nearest crisis center in our national network of more than 150 crisis centers. The Lifeline's national network of local centers provides crisis counselling and mental health referrals day and night.
Feeling emotionally distressed or need someone to talk to?
SAMHSA offers English and Spanish-speaking information specialists who can recommend appropriate substance abuse and mental health resources. They can provide recommendation on training resources and products for health professionals. They can also help identify health education materials for health fairs, mobile clinics, family members, patients, and more. Simply call them at 1-877-726-4727, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. eastern time or send an email to SAMHSAInfo@samhsa.hhs.gov.
