The NRC was formed in Aurora Colorado, which has the unfortunate distinction of being the home of the Aurora theater shooting, the Oklahoma bomber trial, and just across Highway I-25 from the Columbine High School shooting. We understand crisis situations like no one else because we have lived it. We have expertise in lessening the effects of crisis stress on first responders, victim's and their families and the community. Disaster Planning

Including our hard-learned best practices in a custom disaster plan can reduce life-altering stress on first responders, victims and their families and the community.

First Responder Training

Fire, Police and EMS all require regular training. Doesn't it make sense to train these first responders in the topics that will prepare them for the worst effects of crisis events?

Community Resilience Centers

A Community Resilience Center is a physical location where those affected by crisis events can go to receive professional mental health and recovery services.

NRC's Executive Director was instrumental in the development of Aurora Strong Resilience Center which can serve as the model for future Community Resilience Centers. The NRC can assist your community as well.
