The NRC was formed in Aurora Colorado, which has the unfortunate distinction of being the home of the Aurora theater shooting, the Oklahoma bomber trial, and just across Highway I-25 from the Columbine High School shooting. We understand crisis situations like no one else because we have lived it. We have expertise in lessening the effects of crisis stress on first responders, victim's and their families and the community. It is our fervent hope that we can help your community avoid some of the unrecognized pitfalls of crisis response. If you require any of the listed services, please contact us by clicking here.
NRC's Executive Director was instrumental in the development of Aurora Strong Resilience Center which can serve as the model for future Community Resilience Centers. The NRC can assist your community as well.
Despite your precautions, an incident has occurred in your community. Chaos reigns as you juggle not only the response by police, fire, EMS and medical; however, you must also handle families in crisis, community grief, media, the judiciary, the faith community and other major issues.
